In college, my girlfriends and I had a friend named Daven and we all had nicknames for him. Chelsey’s nickname for him was Davenport. Well, turns out, her nickname for him is a quaint suburb only a 5 minute ferry ride from Auckland Central.
As the closest ferry port to Auckland, Davenport is the perfect escape from the city complete with eateries, museums, shops and beaches.
Myself, I spend the day lounging on the seashell-lined beach, reading and enjoying utter bliss!
